Special Education

An on-site Special Education Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) collaborates with general education and special education teachers and oversees implementation of each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP). Special Day Classes (SDC) are available for Pre-K and TK-5th grade students at Webster.  These classes offer a modified curriculum which includes functional skills.  Some students are enrolled in general education classes and receive specialized academic instruction with the Education Specialist.  Additionally, Webster offers embedded PreK morning and afternoon classes.

If you are the parent of a special needs child, you’ll find a wealth of information, training and opportunities to network with other families of kids with special needs through The Community Advisory Committee, (CAC).  This parent-run group was established by the state to give parents a voice in Special Education implementation. This vibrant group of parents and professionals gathers monthly to share and learn about how special education is making a difference in the educational lives of its students!
